Took the family to the "Getaway Show" at the CocaCola Dome in Johannesburg on Saturday. So much to see! We entered all the competitions to win free holidays, checked all the latest camping grear & gadgets & managed to spend all the money in my wallet on things that seemed like a great idea at the time! Great show, well organised, parking was a breeze, & nice & close to home. Congrats to the organisers & all those who displayed their wares!
Wow, what a show that was! Besides the large format Roland printers on show, all the other amazing t-shirt printers, laser cutting machines, flat bed printers & routers had my head spinning! I came away with a packet bulging with brochures & business cards, as well as pens, lighters & a bottle of Merlot from Xerox. A fantastic show, thanks to everyone involved, see you next year!
The "Sign Africa" show is almost upon us again, can't wait to see all the latest & greatest Roland equipment as well as all the other goodies on display. Runs from 21-23 August, & it's advisable to pre-register here to save the hassle of queueing. See ya there!

I'm seeing more and more label artwork being created using one of the programmes within the Microsoft Office package. Although this is sometimes fine, problems with the label printing sometimes occurs in the more complex sticker and label designs. Ideally, label design work works best using a graphic Design package: CorelDraw, In-Design, Pagemaker etc. Additional costs can be incurred doing repairs to label design artwork created in Word, Powerpoint or Excel, as often they have to be totally re-done!
